Ricochet Fuel Volunteer Day 2024

Vounteer Day 2024 was a huge success at Ricochet Fuel! Ricochet Fuel Distributors and its employees had an amazing time taking part in and supporting the Step Up for Down Syndrome Family Walk. Ricochet Fuel had a great turnout representing Team Dean the Machine! and enjoyed the family walk, carnival activities, and food! Hosted at the Epic in Grand Prairie a great time was had by all. Ricochet Fuel threw out beads to take part in the festivities and wore Dean the Machine shirts provided by Surf & Turf Golf. As part of Team Dean the Machine, Ricochet Fuel contributed to being one of the top 3 money-raising teams at the event!

Ricochet Fuel volunteered in support of Team Dean the Machine! Dean is the son of Cass Powell – President and co-owner of Ricochet Fuel Distributors. Dean was born with Down Syndrome in 2021, spent the first 6 months of his life in the NICU, and came home after 3 surgeries. Dean is currently thriving at home – walking, talking, eating, singing, and just being his happy self!

Cass Powell is on the Board of Directors at Down Syndrome of North Texas.

Step Up for Down Syndrome

The Step Up for Down Syndrome Family Walk is an annual event hosted by the Down Syndrome Partnership of North Texas (DSPNT). Scheduled for Saturday, October 12th, from 11 AM to 2 PM, the event will take place at EPIC Central in Grand Prairie. This carnival-themed walk features games, music, vendors, and entertainment for the whole family. Participants can form teams, join teams, make donations, or sponsor the event to support individuals with Down syndrome and their families. It’s a day of fun and community engagement to raise awareness and celebrate the Down syndrome community.
